Helen & Ben | Real Weddings at Bachilton Barn
Helen & Ben got married on a classic Scottish rainy Saturday in April 2022, but that didn't stop them celebrating in style! They did their day their way and had a fabulous day, here's what they had to say about planning their wedding at Bachilton Barn:
How did you two meet?
We met in the twa tams in Perth after we had both had a good few drinks!
What was it that made you choose Bachilton Barn?
Soo many reasons, this was the first place we saw and instantly fell in love, the setting is beautiful, it was the blank canvas we wanted and I could instantly see us being there on our wedding day, the cottages were ideal and the fact it was 2 minutes from our house was ideal!
What was important to you when planning your wedding?
It was important to us that everyone had a great day, we wanted it to be like a big party, nothing too formal or stuffy, and a relaxed atmosphere with a cracking band.
Tell us about your big day! What was your favourite part?
There are soo many that I couldn’t even begin to choose, it was perfect from start to finish… except for the rain but it’s Scotland and apparently lucky!
What tips and tricks would you give to other couples planning their wedding?
You don’t need to spend a fortune to have a beautiful day, you can go OTT if you don’t reel yourself in sometimes, relax, drink a lot of prosecco, dance your ass off and get a crisp wall!!!
How are you enjoying married life?
It’s great, we’re currently winding down from everything sitting on our honeymoon reliving the whirlwind of a day, memories to last a lifetime…
