Rachel & Alan | Real Weddings at Bachilton Barn

Rachel & Alan's wedding took place in July 2022. Here's what they had to say about their wedding at Bachilton Barn!

How did you two meet?

College – we done the same course that led Alan to now film weddings and led me to… meet Alan. I never persued a career in the industry and it was a totally random course choice for me but it worked out for a different reason, meeting my now husband.

What was it that made you choose Bachilton Barn?

It has everything for us. The rustic barn feel, the privacy, the accommodation, the scenery. Just the whole package.

What was important to you when planning your wedding?

Knowing our venue well enough in advance to allow us to plan our set up for everything to run as smoothly as possible on the day and having constant communication with our venue to keep us feeling relaxed and not stressed at all.

Tell us about your big day! What was your favourite part?

Ah there’s so many parts we enjoyed. Our suppliers really made our day so special. From our photographers making us laugh all day to dancing in the sunshine to our travelling piano bar. We put so much into picking the perfect suppliers, we wanted our day to feel busy and fun. It all went by so fast we wish we could do it all again and pause the day to take it all in.

What tips and tricks would you give to other couples planning their wedding?
Enjoy it, don’t stress and pause on the day as many times as you can to take it all in. Also I nvest in an amazing videographer, it’s worth every penny. The moments and emotions we’ve been able to now watch back are something we’ll cherish forever!

How are you enjoying married life?

Loving it! We’ve just recently got all our photos and videos back so we’ve been reliving it so many times! Currently planning our honeymoon so we feel like the wedding buzz isn’t over yet!
